Description

This Business Analyst role focuses on leveraging data to support business operations, with a primary emphasis on data analysis, performance assessment, and reporting. The successful candidate will use tools like PowerBI and Excel to extract insights, assess performance, and provide actionable recommendations for strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Data Collection & Interpretation: Gather and analyze data from various sources to identify patterns, trends, and insights that inform business decisions.
  • PowerBI Dashboards: Design, build, and maintain dynamic PowerBI dashboards to provide real-time, actionable insights into business performance.
  • Advanced Excel Analysis: Use Excel to perform complex data analysis, including data modeling, scenario analysis, and advanced calculations (e.g., macros, VBA, pivot tables).
  • Transforming Data: Convert unstructured data into structured insights that drive decision-making and business outcomes.

2. Business Performance Assessment:

  • Performance Monitoring: Track business performance against set targets, identifying areas of strength and opportunities for improvement.
  • Strategic Recommendations: Provide senior management with data-driven recommendations to guide strategic planning, resource allocation, and process improvements.
  • KPI Monitoring: Regularly monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), sales targets, and other critical metrics that align with business objectives.

3. Collaboration and Support:

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams in sales, marketing, and finance to understand their data needs and provide tailored reports.
  • Process Improvement: Assist in refining business processes by providing data-backed recommendations and insights that improve operations.
  • Project Support: Offer data analysis, forecasting, and reporting to support ongoing projects.

4. Tools and Technology:

  • PowerBI: Continuously leverage PowerBI to visualize data and create interactive reports and dashboards that are both actionable and visually compelling.
  • Excel Mastery: Maintain a high level of expertise in Excel to streamline reporting and analysis (e.g., advanced formulas, pivot tables, macros, VBA).
  • Tool Exploration: Stay current with new tools and technologies that can enhance data analysis and improve reporting capabilities.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or global equivalent) in Business, Economics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Proven Business Analyst experience, with a strong focus on data analysis, reporting, and performance assessment.
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerBI, with experience creating dashboards and reports.
  • Excel expertise, including mastery of advanced functions, data modeling, pivot tables, and VBA.
  • Strong analytical skills to turn unstructured data into actionable insights.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.

Preferred:

  • Experience with large datasets, including data integration from multiple sources.
  • Familiarity with other data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) or programming languages like SQL and Python is a plus.
  • Experience in the technology sector, with an understanding of sales trends and market dynamics.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft AX, Navision, and SFDC (Salesforce) is desirable.

    • Advanced proficiency in PowerBI for creating insightful data visualizations and Excel for advanced analytics and data manipulation.

    • The ability to communicate complex findings clearly and concisely to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring that insights are actionable.
  4. Business Acumen:
    • A deep understanding of business performance metrics, sales targets, and market trends to help drive strategic decision-making.
  5. Problem-Solving:
    • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically, identify business issues, and propose innovative data-driven solutions.
