Description
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the overall trade and logistics strategy, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution, in alignment with the company's goals and objectives.
- Lead and manage a team of trade and logistics professionals, including transportation managers, warehouse supervisors, and logistics coordinators, to ensure operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key partners, suppliers, freight forwarders, and carriers to optimize transportation routes, reduce costs, and improve delivery efficiency.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments to identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and risk mitigation in trade and logistics operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, sales, finance, and customer service, to ensure alignment and integration of trade and logistics activities with overall business strategies and objectives.
- Develop and implement performance metrics, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms to track and measure the effectiveness of trade and logistics operations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with trade regulations, customs requirements, and international trade laws, and manage import/export documentation and compliance processes effectively.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in trade and logistics management, with a track record of successfully leading and optimizing supply chain operations in a global environment.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve operational excellence and deliver results.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes of issues and develop effective solutions to improve trade and logistics performance.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of trade regulations, customs compliance, and international trade laws.
- Experience with trade and logistics software systems, ERP systems, and supply chain management tools.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
